Initial review is one milestone

Miami-Dade publishes an initial-review range of 24 hours to 10 business days depending on permit type and complexity, excluding corrections. That is not a promise that the entire permit will be issued in that period, and it should not be applied to every municipality.

Map what is still outstanding

An application can need intake acceptance, review, responses from the designer, another review cycle, outside approvals, contractor updates and fees. Write down the next action and who owns it. Time waiting for revised plans is different from time waiting for an agency review.

Use the right question

Instead of asking only when the permit will be ready, ask whether it is accepted, which disciplines have comments, what needs resubmission and whether issuance holds remain. Those answers support a more realistic schedule.

How we help

All Permit Pros helps organize documents and follow-up for the agreed scope. Send your permit number and current comments so we can discuss the coordination required. We do not promise a fixed approval date.
