Homestead’s current guide directs new supported applications through EPL-B.U.I.L.D. Legacy applications may follow a different route. Send the original application date and reference so we can identify which workflow applies.

Plan files and County approvals

The City requires plan files organized by discipline and its naming conventions. Projects needing DERM, Water and Sewer or impact-fee review also require County coordination. City upfront fees and County agency fees are separate.

What to send

• Property address and folio or parcel number, if available.
• Scope of work, available plans and survey, and contractor details.
• Existing application numbers, notices, reviewer comments and prior approvals.

Can I keep emailing plans for an older project?

Homestead distinguishes legacy email submissions from processes implemented in its portal. We review the record and current City instructions before coordinating the next submission.

Can you help with a violation or corrections?

Send the notice, deadline and application number. We help track the required responses. Permit issuance, inspections and violation closure are separate agency decisions.

How long will it take?

Timing depends on scope, review cycles and outside approvals. We assess the current record before discussing an estimate.
